Open source
Why does Caroster have open-source code?
Caroster is a common shared mobility.
Caroster is licensed under AGPLv3, which means it can be copied and used freely in any other project. However, any modifications must also be published under the same open source license so that everyone can benefit from them.
Our reasons
OPERATE WITH COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE
Nothing is perfect, and adjustments to Caroster are always welcome. We invite you to use it, adapt it, improve it and contribute to the project for the benefit of all.
CREATE A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION
Publishing the code as open source gives us the assurance that anyone can take over the project, but that it will remain free and autonomous, even when we no longer exist.
ADAPT TO ANY CONTEXT
Caroster's code can be taken over or integrated into another service. As long as you share your work in return and under the same conditions, you are contributing to a common good that will serve others.
ACTING TOGETHER RATHER THAN INDIVIDUALLY
Because there are plenty of cars on the road, but we only have one planet, join the Caroster project community to rethink responsible, low-carbon mobility together.
Support an open source project for the decarbonized, sustainable and user-friendly mobility of tomorrow.
