5 tips for carpooling with Caroster

Are you organizing an event and want to provide a simple and efficient carpooling platform? Our checklist of 5 tips based on our experience and that of Caroster users:

1. Get your platform online as soon as possible

Create your Caroster well in advance to give participants time to add and join trips. The earlier the platform is made available, the more trips will be proposed and the more likely the carpool will work.

2. Fill in your event details carefully

When creating your Caroster, be sure to include the location (make sure it is geolocated), date, and times of your event, so that participants have all the information they need when adding their trip. You can also add a description that mentions whether the event lasts several days or how to park on site, for example.

3. Create your account without a password for simplified access

By logging in with your email address, you will be able to easily find your carpools and track updates in your personal space. This will also enable you to receive email notifications when a passenger is added to your trip.

4. Encourage participants by adding the first trip

A first published trip encourages others to do the same. If possible, ask your team or other committed participants to add a trip as soon as the platform opens, to set an example.

5. Schedule regular reminders

To maximize the number of trips offered and passenger registrations, communicate regularly with your participants: emails, publications on social networks, reminders on the event website. We recommend a reminder 2 to 3 weeks before the event, then 1 week before, and finally 2 days before the event.
